7:30 AM breakfast and then we departed for Waikiki Beach. We had another day of boogie boarding, catamaran riding and surfing lessons. Sierra and Hannah spent more than an hour with one of the Beach boys trying to learn how to stand up on the surfboard. Loretta and Don stayed on the shore and kept watch on the kids. About 11 AM. We returned to the hotel where we packed up our bags and checked out of the hotel. We had lunch in the hotel café and then another brief orientation on what to expect in Kona. At 2:30 PM, we took a bus to the airport and eventually got on board a Hawaiian Airlines flight to Kona. We bussed from the airport to the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa, where we checked in. It took us a while to find our room on the fifth floor and then we went down to have dinner in the restaurant where service was buffet style. The hotel is quite nice and has several beautiful swimming pools, but no beach access. The only annoying part was that our room seem to be about 2 miles away from the main section of the hotel. We did a lot of walking back and forth to and from the room.
