The tundra in winter is a pretty barren place. This area was quite boggy and the rover frequently drove through some rather formidable puddles. Most of the vegetation is small Willow plants with occasional small 1slands of spruce trees. We were right along Hudson Bay which over the time of our stay began to ice up.
